BYD has locked in a formal debut date for its new range-topping sedan: the Da Han reaches the market on October 13. Lu Tian, who oversees sales for the Dynasty lineup, revealed the timing on Weibo and urged shoppers to stop by dealerships during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.

The battery-electric version has been up for pre-order since the Chengdu Auto Show on August 21, offered in three trims. Both rear-wheel-drive options carry a 1,008 km CLTC rating — priced at 249,900 yuan and 269,900 yuan in pre-sales — while the all-wheel-drive step-up costs 299,900 yuan and trades range down to 880 km. The RWD motor peaks at 370 kW, and adding the 200 kW front unit lifts combined output to 570 kW.

Standard equipment runs long: DiSus-A dual-chamber air suspension, flash charging, rear-wheel steering, a pair of front zero-gravity seats, the LiDAR-based God's Eye B driver-assistance suite, self-dimming privacy glass, and a 31-speaker Devialet sound system. At 5,256 mm long with a 3,130 mm wheelbase, the Da Han sits above the current Han as the Dynasty series' new flagship, joining the Da Tang SUV — launched June 17 and past 10,000 deliveries by July 23 — in the lineup's premium push. A plug-in hybrid pairing a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a 54.489-kWh pack and roughly 370 km of WLTC electric range is also planned, though its pre-sales have yet to open.
