BYD Motor Indonesia has signaled that the Atto 2 could join its local lineup as a compact electric SUV, positioning it between the Atto 1 and Atto 3. Speaking in Jakarta on October 14, 2026, the company’s head of product said BYD is researching demand for the segment and wants the model to offer a practical option for Indonesian buyers. The company is aiming to bring it to the market as soon as possible, but has not announced a local launch date or price.
BYD says an Indonesian version would come with its second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging. If sold locally, the Atto 2 would enter a compact electric SUV field that includes the Jaecoo J5 and Geely EX2. In China, the model is called Yuan UP; the 2027 Yuan UP Feichi Edition is offered in five versions priced from 74,800 to 104,800 yuan, equivalent in the source to about 190 million to 270 million rupiah.
The China-market model has a front-mounted electric motor producing 70 kW and 180 Nm. Its three Blade Battery options are 32, 45.12 and 51.13 kWh, with claimed CLTC ranges of 301, 401 and 501 km respectively. DC fast charging from 30% to 80% takes about 30 minutes. The SUV measures 4,310 mm long, and equipment can include a swiveling 12.8-inch central display, an 8.8-inch instrument screen, ventilated and heated front seats, and DiPilot C driver-assistance features on selected versions.
