A customer-experience study in the Philippines ranked BYD first among 11 mass-market automotive brands, awarding it 900 points out of 1,000. Differential Singapore conducted the 2026 Philippine Customer eXperience Index from April to July, surveying 1,200 people nationwide who bought a vehicle and had it serviced during 2025. The assessment covered sales, aftersales service and product satisfaction.
BYD recorded the biggest overall year-on-year improvement, adding 52 points from 848 in 2025. Its scores rose by 63 points for aftersales service, 61 for sales and 48 for product satisfaction. Ford placed second with 894 points, followed by Isuzu at 885; Kia scored 869 and Nissan 868.
Chinese brands collectively gained 50 points to reach 889, moving from fourth to second among the four country-of-origin groups. American brands remained ahead at 894, but the difference narrowed to five points. Korean brands improved by 24 points, while Japanese brands gained three.
Across the industry, the overall index rose eight points to 864. Sales increased by 24 points and service by 21, compared with a two-point rise in product satisfaction. The survey also found improvements in customer communications and service procedures, while some product measures—including safety and security features—declined. Its findings point to dealer interactions as a growing part of how buyers assess vehicle ownership.
