BYD has launched the 2027 Yuan Pro in China, where the model is officially called the Yuan Up Feichi Edition and is sold as the Pro or Atto 2 in other markets. The refresh is aimed squarely at slowing the rise of the Geely EX2, and could eventually carry over to Brazil — though nothing is confirmed for the local market yet.
The sacrifice is power. The previous 177 hp, 29 kgfm electric motor is gone entirely, and every version now uses the same front-drive unit as the BYD Dolphin GS, producing 95 hp and 18.3 kgfm.
The payoff is range. A new 51.13 kWh battery lifts the CLTC figure to 501 km, up from 401 km for the current 45.12 kWh version. Chinese buyers can still pick the smaller pack, or an entry-level 32 kWh setup rated at 301 km CLTC. All versions support 30-to-80% fast charging in 30 minutes. Because Brazil's Inmetro PBEV cycle is far stricter — the locally sold car is rated at only 250 km — a comparable upgrade could raise the Brazilian figure to around 317 km, a gain of 26.8%, if the new batteries make it over.
Dimensions are unchanged at 4.31 m long, 1.83 m wide, 1.67 m tall, with a 2.62 m wheelbase. The update adds aero-focused 17-inch wheels and two new colors, Energetic Yellow and Oxygen Blue. Inside, the shifter moves to the steering column as on the Dolphin SE, joined by a 50W air-cooled wireless charger, a redesigned wheel, heated and ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, rear air vents and NFC phone key support.
