Changan used a press event at the 2026 Paris Motor Show to set out plans for the Middle East and Africa, which it identifies as priority markets under its Vast Ocean 2.0 strategy. The company aims to rank among the region’s five largest automakers by 2030. Its overseas sales rose 56.3% year on year in the first nine months of 2026, and its longer-term target is 1.5 million annual sales outside China by 2030.
The company displayed three NEVO models making their European debut: the Q05, Q06 and A06. Changan plans to bring the NEVO range to the Middle East and Africa in 2027. It also showed the DEEPAL S07 PHEV and S05 PHEV, the UNI-S HEV and the AVATR Concept T09, with regional arrivals planned for 2027. The UNI-S HEV and EADO PLUS HEV are scheduled to reach the region in the fourth quarter of 2026. Changan also plans to launch its combustion-powered V series there in that quarter.
Changan says it has operated in the Middle East and Africa since 1994, with sales and service coverage in more than 40 countries and cumulative regional sales above 500,000 vehicles. A Dubai parts hub opened in 2024; the company says it has cut delivery times for fast-moving parts from 15 days to under 48 hours. The facility is planned to grow from 2,000 to 10,000 square metres.
