Changan has put its Nevo Q06 mid-size crossover on sale in China, with the lineup starting at 139,900 yuan (about 20,880 USD) for the 602 Premium grade and topping out at 169,900 yuan (25,360 USD). Six variants are offered, split between pure-electric and extended-range versions, and the home-market launch comes ahead of a planned international rollout.

The exterior was penned by Klaus Zyciora, the former head of design at Volkswagen who now serves as a vice president at Changan. The SUV measures 4,837 mm long with a 2,940 mm wheelbase and a 0.27 drag coefficient. Inside there is a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a head-up display, and a column-mounted shifter, while Changan claims 90.6% of the cabin surface is soft-touch. Comfort and practicality features include reclining massaging rear seats, a built-in 9.5-liter fridge, a retractable roof screen, and cargo space that expands from 782 to 2,200 liters.

Three BEV configurations are available: a 225 kW rear-motor entry version with a 66 kWh LFP pack good for 602 km CLTC; a 245 kW variant with an 80 kWh battery stretching to 700 km; and a 330 kW dual-motor, rear-drive flagship that reaches 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds. The EREV uses a 1.5-liter engine purely as a generator, feeding two rear motors with a combined 270 kW, and its 28.39 kWh battery delivers 200 km of electric range. Driver-assist hardware comprises a roof-mounted 256-line LiDAR, 11 cameras, and 560 TOPS of computing power.

Changan is positioning the Q06 directly against the BYD Song Ultra, which is priced from 129,900 to 179,900 yuan and reportedly found 58,362 Chinese buyers between March and August 2026, according to China EV DataTracker.
