Chinese marque Luxeed, developed by Chery in cooperation with Huawei, is preparing to expand into Gulf markets in 2027. The plans were announced during Chery’s international user summit in Wuhu, China, running from October 18 to 24. Two key Luxeed models are scheduled to be unveiled at the event on October 21. The brand is distinct from US automaker Lucid.

In the UAE, Luxeed aims to establish its main sales channels in Abu Dhabi and Dubai by the end of 2027. It signed a distribution agreement with UAE-based Omer Bin Youssef Group in July, its first partnership with a dealer outside China. A luxury MPV is among the vehicles planned for the UAE, with an intended launch in the second quarter of 2027.

Luxeed is targeting September 2027 for the start of sales in both Qatar and Kuwait. It plans to offer three types of vehicles in each market: a luxury MPV, an off-road-oriented sporty SUV and a family SUV crossover. Preparatory work for entry into Qatar and Kuwait is expected to take place from the fourth quarter of 2026 through the first quarter of 2027. The company has not disclosed model names, technical specifications or prices. Over the next three years, it also intends to broaden its range with large luxury SUVs and sporty FUV crossovers, and offer BEV, range-extender EV and plug-in hybrid powertrains in stages.
