Chery Group’s Aimoga brand has introduced Mobo, a compact AI-powered humanoid robot, in Wuhu, China, and opened pre-bookings. Aimoga International product director Yvette Gao said the robot was developed in-house and designed to be small and light enough to lift and hug. The company has not disclosed a price, saying an announcement is expected soon.
Aimoga says Mobo can understand more than 20 languages and has learned 150,000 movement or situational scenarios. It uses what the company describes as multimodal long-term memory, allowing it to build up information about its owner and adapt its responses over time. Gao said it can remember conversations and recognize a person’s mood, rather than relying only on fixed phrases and movements.
The robot is also said to recognize 80 types of household objects, with understanding accuracy above 90%, and can change its colors. Aimoga presents Mobo as a companion that can listen when its owner is upset without correcting their speech or offering unsolicited advice. The article gives no confirmed retail price or delivery schedule.
