Chery’s iCAUR brand is preparing to enter Vietnam, with the V27 expected to be its first model there toward the end of 2026. The article puts its indicative price at about VND 2 billion. The smaller, all-electric V23 is planned to arrive later, while the V25, a range-extended model, is expected in 2027.

The brand began in China in 2023 as iCAR, focusing mainly on new-energy SUVs with upright, boxy styling and scope for personalization. It adopted the iCAUR name for international markets because of a trademark issue; iCAR remains the name used in China. Its lineup spans battery-electric vehicles and range-extended models. The V27 uses a gasoline engine to generate electricity, while electric motors drive the wheels.

iCAUR’s Vietnam rollout is being organized within the Geleximco–Chery business ecosystem, with Omoda & Jaecoo Vietnam handling the market-entry plan. Showrooms are being prepared in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other major cities. The report describes iCAUR as a relatively small player at home: it cites 79,258 sales in China in 2025, representing about 0.34% of the market. The V23, meanwhile, has already reached more than 20 international markets, including several in Southeast Asia.
