Luxeed, Chery’s premium brand developed with Huawei, has outlined a global expansion plan built around six electrified models. The first two intended to lead the push are the Stormax SUV and LLounge minivan, known in China as the RX and V9. Four more SUVs, provisionally numbered 3, 5, 7 and 9, are also in development for export markets. Luxeed aims to enter 18 markets during 2026–27, double that figure in 2028–29 and reach more than 60 countries by 2030.
The five-seat Stormax measures 5,020 mm long and has a 3,000 mm wheelbase. In China, it is offered with a 277 kW rear motor or a 437 kW all-wheel-drive setup. Battery capacities range from 81.1 to 100.42 kWh, with claimed range of 700–852 km on the CLTC cycle, or 574–699 km under WLTP. Its front seats use 98 sensors and 27 air chambers, and the luggage area provides 622 litres plus 30 litres of hidden storage.
The seven-seat LLounge is 5,359 mm long and uses an extended-range system combining a 1.5-litre petrol engine-generator with a 53.4 kWh battery. Its electric-only CLTC range is listed at 285–305 km. The model also features air suspension, rear-wheel steering and a 25-speaker audio system.
Luxeed says the four planned SUVs will offer battery-electric, plug-in hybrid and extended-range options, but has not yet matched those powertrains to individual models. More information is expected in 2027. Export specifications and equipment for the Stormax and LLounge will be confirmed market by market.
