Chery used its 2026 International User Summit in Wuhu, China, to outline ambitions beyond conventional vehicles. The company presented humanoid home-assistant robot Mobo, developed by its AiMOGA Robotics division, alongside new and updated products from its vehicle brands. The announcements included Omoda X, Chery Tiggo X7 and a refreshed Tiggo 7, as well as Lepas’s AURA concept, which previews the brand’s design direction.
The group also set out plans tied to Chile. Lepas is expected to arrive there in early 2027, while iCAR will enter under the name iCAUR because of trademark-use rights. Both brands are to join Omoda & Jaecoo under the subsidiary that currently operates those brands in Chile.
On technology, Chery reported progress on a new generation of in-house microprocessors intended to support intelligent functions, environmental perception and decision-making. It also revealed the Lingxiao J506, an electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing aircraft with six tilting rotors and seating for five. Chery says it can reach 350 km/h and travel more than 1,000 km; autonomous flight is planned around the company’s Ziwei processors and CheryMind AI model. The summit also featured the group’s Level 4 robotaxi technology. The company framed these projects as part of a push to become a broader technology and AI business, reflecting Chinese automakers’ efforts to develop more of their own hardware and software.
