Dubai Police has added a Jetour G700 to its fleet for patrol work in desert areas and challenging terrain. The move was announced at an event at Al Marmoom Oasis, attended by police officials and representatives of Jetour. It is part of preparations for the winter tourism season, when visitor numbers in desert destinations rise.
The vehicle is intended to help officers reach tourist sites and sandy routes, respond more quickly to reports and emergencies, and assist visitors with services and information. The police highlighted weekend and public-holiday periods as times when support in these areas is particularly relevant.
The G700 uses a hybrid system combining a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine with two electric motors and a 34.13-kWh battery. Combined output is reported at about 904 hp and 1,135 Nm of torque. Jetour quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 4.6 to 4.8 seconds. The patrol vehicle’s four-wheel-drive system is suited to the difficult surfaces expected in its assigned areas.
