Great Wall Motor crashed the luxury touring motorcycle party in May 2024, using the Beijing motorcycle show to launch a new two-wheeled brand called Souo. Its first product, the S2000, is a full-size luxury tourer, and the GL version tested here has now reached Middle East customers through NS Lootah Group, the brand's exclusive UAE dealer. The reviewer frames it as a direct challenge to established icons like the Honda Gold Wing and BMW K1600.

The centerpiece is a 2,000cc flat-eight boxer engine producing 153 hp and 190 Nm, mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Even though the bike weighs 460 kg, a cast aluminum frame with a double-wishbone front end (instead of a conventional telescopic fork), Brembo brakes with eight front pistons squeezing 320 mm discs, and a smart 50:50 brake-force split keep it composed at speed.

The tested GL trim adds a large top box with a passenger backrest plus blind-spot monitoring and rear collision warning, while the sportier ST variant drops the luggage and some of those sensors. Equipment includes a 12.3-inch display with Apple CarPlay, adaptive suspension with modes for riding solo, two-up or fully loaded, a power-operated windscreen, and a crawl function that inches the heavy machine forward or backward for painless parking. Out on the highway, the reviewer came away impressed by the effortless torque delivery and the characterful DCT shifts over long distances.
