Fang Cheng Bao Formula S GT electric wagon reaches Chinese dealers ahead of September launch

The Formula S GT, an electric station wagon from BYD's Fang Cheng Bao marque, has started arriving at Chinese dealerships ahead of a sales launch planned for September. Pre-orders are already open, with prices spanning 230,000–280,000 yuan (about $34,225–41,665).

Styling follows the language established by the Denza Z sports car: trapezoidal LED headlights, a long sloping bonnet and muscular bumpers, plus wagon-specific touches such as roof rails and a modest ducktail spoiler. Semi-flush door handles, multi-spoke wheels, diamond-patterned taillights and a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor round out the exterior. Inside, a floating touchscreen sits beside a slim digital instrument display, the three-spoke wheel uses a stalk-based gear selector, and the centre console packs wireless charging, twin cupholders and a row of physical switches.

Measuring 5025/1967/1483 mm, the S GT carries a 92.093 kWh LFP battery across the lineup. The rear-drive single-motor version makes 300 kW and returns 800–850 km on the CLTC cycle, while the 490 kW dual-motor AWD variant tops out at 730 km. Flash-charging capability refills the battery from 10% to 97% in nine minutes, and the wagon can tow up to 500 kg. Driver assistance comes via DiPilot 300, marketed as "God's Eye B", which provides navigate-on-autopilot function on both city streets and highways.

Because its design echoes the Denza Z — previously shown in the UK at Goodwood — the wagon is widely expected to be exported under the Denza badge.
