BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao has revealed Meteorite Black, a new exterior finish for its Ti 9 SUV, ahead of the model’s planned fourth-quarter 2026 launch in China. The vehicle began arriving at Chinese showrooms for display in late September. Fang Cheng Bao has also previewed other exterior colors, including gold, silver, red and blue, while the cabin is offered in three color combinations: white and brown, gray and black, or red and black.
The Ti 9 is a large, six-seat plug-in hybrid measuring 5,270 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,850 mm tall, with a 3,130 mm wheelbase. It rides on 22-inch wheels and has roof-mounted LiDAR. The cabin includes a 30-inch floating central display, a digital instrument panel and a head-up display. The black version shown in official images has chrome-look details on the handles, badges, wheels, mirrors, bumpers and D-pillars.
Its powertrain pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine rated at 115 kW (154 hp) with two electric motors producing a combined 400 kW (536 hp). A 66.5 kWh battery is said to provide up to 310 km of electric driving range and support charging from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. Fang Cheng Bao quotes a total range of 2,300 km. The brand is BYD’s domestic-market marque; the article suggests the Ti 9 could later be sold overseas as the BYD Ti 9, but gives no confirmed export plan.
