Firefly, Nio’s electric-vehicle brand, has opened a standalone showroom at Bangkok’s centralwOrld shopping mall and launched an updated right-hand-drive version of its EV in Thailand. The store, on the mall’s fifth floor, covers more than 350 square meters and is the first worldwide to operate long-term with Firefly’s complete brand identity.

The updated vehicle includes enhanced smart features, but Firefly has not specified the changes or announced a new price. When the right-hand-drive EV first went on sale in Thailand on March 24, it was priced at 799,000 baht (about $23,800). The brand had introduced itself in Bangkok earlier that month. Thailand is Firefly’s second right-hand-drive market, after Singapore.

The showroom also features a vehicle created with Thai illustrator Tent Katchakul. Firefly works with Thonburi BlueSky, a Thonburi Group subsidiary, as its distributor in the country. The new retail site and vehicle update come as the company builds a longer-term presence following its initial market entry.

Firefly delivered 7,327 vehicles globally in September, a monthly record and increases of 26.87% year on year and 25.21% from August. Deliveries totaled 48,122 in the first nine months of the year, equal to 16.02% of Nio Inc.’s deliveries over that period.
