Geely said on October 20, 2026, that the one-millionth EX2 had rolled off the production line in China. Sold domestically as the Xingyuan, the small electric hatchback launched there in October 2024. Cumulative output reached 200,000 in May 2025, 600,000 in March 2026 and 800,000 in August before passing the million mark. Production totals do not represent the number of vehicles delivered to customers.

The Xingyuan was China’s best-selling individual model in 2025, with retail sales of 465,775. Sales momentum has since moderated: 310,391 units were sold in the first nine months of 2026, down 9.6% from a year earlier. September sales rose to 44,275 from 39,651 in August, but remained below the same month in 2025.

Geely is expanding EX2 distribution across Southeast Asia, Latin America, Australia and the UK; some markets use the E2 name. Assembly in Indonesia began in January 2026, and production at a Renault-Geely joint-venture plant in Brazil is scheduled to start in December. Geely has not disclosed how many of the million vehicles were exported.

In China, the rear-wheel-drive car uses a rear-mounted motor rated at 58 kW or 85 kW, with LFP batteries of 30.12 kWh or 40.16 kWh. Listed CLTC ranges are 310 km and 410 km, with a 480-km version added in May 2026. A time-limited starting price is 61,800 yuan; the 480-km variant is listed at 86,800 yuan before sales support. The latest update also brought Flyme Auto 2.0.
