Geely has started taking orders for the facelifted Galaxy E5 in its home market, publishing the full spec sheet and provisional prices a few days after teasing the update. The electric crossover originally launched in China in 2024 and began exporting a year later under the EX5 badge, reaching Russia among other markets. The pre-facelift car survives locally in one trim called the Global Classic Edition.

The headline change sits at the rear axle: the drive unit has migrated from the front, and output jumps from 218 to 333 hp while torque holds at 320 Nm. The car also steps up to an 800-volt electrical architecture. Two new packs are on offer — 61.52 kWh with 550 km of CLTC range and 70.01 kWh with 635 km — while the carried-over front-drive Global Classic Edition keeps its 60.22 kWh battery, good for 530 km. Geely quotes 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds for the smaller RWD pack, 5.8 seconds for the larger one, and 6.9 seconds for the 218-hp version; top speed rises from 180 to 201 km/h.

Visually, the crossover gains a reworked bumper with chunky silver inserts and black L-shaped lighting elements, and the rear-drive variants swap flush pop-out door handles for conventional ones. The body stretches 21 mm to 4636 mm and widens 19 mm to 1920 mm, the wheelbase shrinks 5 mm to 2745 mm, and relocating the motor frees up a 160-liter front trunk. Inside there is a new three-spoke wheel, a crystal-style gear selector on top trims, and the Qianli Haohan 5 driver-assistance suite, which combines a lidar above the windshield with 11 cameras and three millimeter-wave radars.

The 333-hp rear-drive version is priced provisionally at 107,800 to 137,800 yuan, while the front-drive Global Classic Edition currently lists at 97,800 yuan. Geely has not said when overseas EX5 customers will receive these updates.
