Geely’s EX2 electric hatchback is facing a four-month wait for Brazilian buyers as demand outstrips available stock. Dealerships told Autoesporte that the queue has reached 120 days, while Geely’s Brazilian operation expects supply to return to normal in February 2027. The Pro version is priced at R$124,600, close to the BYD Dolphin Mini, although the EX2 is larger and competes in the same category as the BYD Dolphin.
The EX2 recorded 1,483 sales in Brazil in October. The article also cites 30,689 sales through October, based on figures from K.Lume, and says the model has ranked among the country’s best-selling cars. Geely is planning Brazilian production to help meet demand and ease the shortage.
Production is planned for Geely’s complex in Paraná, where the company has begun making the EX5 DM-i. The EX2 is expected to be localized in stages, with plans covering supplier development, stamping, welding, painting and final assembly. Geely has announced R$5.8 billion in investment in Brazil, including R$3.8 billion following its purchase of a 26.4% stake in Renault do Brasil. The article presents local production of the EX2 as a priority for reducing its long delivery wait.
