Geely Holding and Google have entered a strategic partnership to develop a digital cockpit ecosystem for eligible vehicles from Geely’s brands in international markets where Google services are available. The first model arising from the collaboration is expected to launch in the second half of 2027. The companies said the detailed rollout schedule will depend on product development, regulatory compliance and market readiness.
Models included in the agreement are set to receive officially certified Google Automotive Services. The planned package includes Google Assistant Gemini, Google Maps and Google’s in-car app store, alongside multimodal voice capabilities, global navigation, vehicle apps and connectivity between devices. The announcement presents these features as a way to enhance the in-car experience while supporting safety behind the wheel.
The agreement builds on an existing relationship between the companies: Polestar joined their collaboration in 2020. Geely says Google’s integrated vehicle services are expected to extend progressively to more brands in its group, including Geely, Lynk & Co, Proton, Radar and Smart. The announcement does not identify the first model or specify which markets will receive it.
