Geely has opened orders in China for an updated Boyue L, the compact crossover marketed in Russia as the Atlas. First shown at August's Chengdu auto show in hybrid form, the refresh brings mild visual tweaks, a more powerful entry-level engine and — for the first time — a conventional, non-pluggable hybrid variant alongside the petrol cars.
The base 1.5TD Pro turbo-four now delivers 201 hp and 315 Nm, up from 181 hp and 290 Nm, while the 218-hp 2.0 turbo carries over; both send power to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The i-HEV pairs a 163-hp 1.5 turbo with a 238-hp electric motor. Chinese-market cars remain front-drive only, unlike the Russian-market Atlas and Volga K40, which offer all-wheel drive.
Visually, the crossover picks up new bumpers, a chrome-ringed grille with vertical bright inserts and fresh 19- or 20-inch wheel designs, plus a broader color palette. The body is 17 mm shorter than before at 4713 mm, though the 2785 mm wheelbase is unchanged, and the cabin carries over untouched.
Base versions get a 10.2-inch instrument display and a 14.6-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add a 15.4-inch screen, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel and heated, ventilated seats with a massaging driver's chair. Top petrol and hybrid variants also gain the Qianli Haohan 5 driver-assist suite, built around a windshield-mounted lidar plus 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors and three millimeter-wave radars. Pricing runs from 99,900 to 129,900 yuan for the petrol car and 106,900 to 136,900 yuan for the hybrid.
