Hongqi, the premium marque of state-owned automaker FAW, began taking pre-orders for the Tiangong 07 on September 21. The mid-to-large electric sedan comes in three trims with headline pricing of 189,900–219,900 yuan (27,900–32,300 USD), while a limited-time discount brings the entry point down to 169,900 yuan — roughly 25,000 USD.
Under the skin sits an 800V high-voltage platform with silicon carbide drive technology. The single-motor version makes 340 kW (456 hp) and covers 0-100 km/h in 5.6–5.8 seconds, while the dual-motor setup combines for 770 N·m and completes the sprint in 3.5 seconds. Both draw on 75 kWh or 85 kWh LFP packs built by FAW's battery arm Lishen, delivering up to 730 km on the CLTC cycle (591 km WLTP), with a 10-80% recharge taking 12 minutes or less.
The cabin pairs an 8.88-inch instrument display with a 17.3-inch center screen running the Lingxi Cockpit 6.0 software on a Qualcomm 8397 chip, plus CarPlay, HiCar, and ICCOA Carlink support. A front passenger seat that folds flat into a 1.6-meter lounge bed, an 18-speaker Bose audio system, and a panoramic roof round out the comfort package.
Driver assistance comes from a 384-line dynamic zoom LiDAR feeding Hongqi's Sinan 5.0 system, which covers highway and urban pilot functions along with cross-floor memory parking. Lishen itself has a notable backstory: once one of China's major state-owned cell makers, it was absorbed by FAW in 2025 and this July unveiled ultra-fast charging hardware that can refill a battery to 70% in four minutes.
