Jaecoo J5 buyers in Indonesia are currently being quoted a waiting period of around one to two months, according to Jaecoo Indonesia Business Unit Director Jim Ma. He said the company is working to fulfill orders faster and hopes customers who book in 2026 will receive their vehicles before the end of the year.
The J5 first appeared in Indonesia in November 2025 and has remained a strong seller. Gaikindo data cited in the report show Jaecoo shipped 26,635 J5s to dealers between January and September 2026, equivalent to an average of roughly 2,900 units a month. The figures represent wholesale deliveries, rather than confirmed customer registrations. Among the three models Jaecoo currently sells in Indonesia, the J5 is its biggest contributor.
To ease the backlog, Jaecoo is increasing J5 production in Indonesia. The report also points to the upcoming Omoda O4: Omoda Jaecoo International President Shawn Xu said local production is due to begin in November 2026, with the model’s official price to be announced at launch. The O4 had been introduced to Indonesian audiences three months earlier, but its price had not yet been disclosed.
