Jetour’s Zongheng F700 pickup has had its industrial-design drawings published by Brazil’s National Institute of Industrial Property, bringing the Chinese brand’s large plug-in hybrid truck into view in a market where Jetour does not yet sell pickups. The filing protects the design but is not approval to sell the vehicle or confirmation of a Brazilian launch.
The F700 pairs a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two electric motors, one on each axle, and a dedicated hybrid transmission with all-wheel drive. Combined output is 904 hp and 115.7 kgfm of torque; Jetour says it can reach 100 km/h from rest in about five seconds. A 35.4-kWh CATL LFP battery is claimed to provide up to 150 km of electric-only range on China’s CLTC cycle. With an 800-volt system, the pickup is rated for charging at up to 400 kW, with a 20-to-80% charge said to take about 10 minutes under ideal conditions. Claimed combined range is up to 1,300 km.
At 5,495 mm long, the truck is larger than a Toyota Hilux, but its stated payload is only 181–223 kg. It can tow up to 3,500 kg. The cabin can be configured for four or five occupants and includes a 15.6-inch central display and a 35.4-inch panoramic screen.
Pre-sales began in China in July. The five-seat Player One was listed at 364,900 yuan there; that price is not an indication of any potential Brazilian price. Jetour has not announced whether the F700 will enter Brazil, where the article identifies BYD’s Shark as a possible rival.
