Kaiyi Motors Egypt is preparing to assemble the Chinese brand's vehicles locally, with the X3 Pro set to be the first model rolling off the line in early 2027. The share of locally made components is expected to climb gradually in subsequent phases.

The company has already invested in production lines, welding and assembly equipment, and the supporting technical infrastructure, and plans to work with Egyptian suppliers to deepen localization. Executives indicated the company is also pursuing the certifications needed before eventually exporting to other markets.

The 2027 X3 Pro has just gone on sale in Egypt with a choice of two 1.5-liter gasoline engines, one naturally aspirated and one turbocharged. Warranty coverage runs up to 10 years or one million kilometers on the engine and six years or 160,000 kilometers on the whole car, and Kaiyi's full 2027 Egyptian lineup — also including the X7 and E5 — meets Euro 6 emissions standards.

The production roadmap comes alongside a renewed five-year distribution agreement between Kaiyi Auto in China and its Egyptian partner, who continues to handle imports, sales, and after-sales service. The brand only entered the Egyptian market in May 2025 and has since been building out its sales and service network, with Kaiyi's Chinese leadership pledging ongoing technical and engineering support.
