Leapmotor is preparing the B03X for Brazil as its entry-level electric SUV, with two trims intended to give buyers a choice of battery size and price. The model is expected to compete with compact EVs such as the BYD Dolphin and Geely EX2. Its estimated starting price is below R$140,000, putting it well under the larger Leapmotor B10, which starts at nearly R$179,990 in Brazil. The B03X is known as the A10 in China and is derived from the A05 hatchback; outside China, that hatchback is called the B03.
Both versions use a front-mounted electric motor rated at 197 hp and 20.5 kgfm of torque, with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds. The Life pairs a 39.8-kWh LFP battery with a stated WLTP range of up to 292 km. The Design gets a 53-kWh pack and up to 382 km. DC fast charging is supported at up to 100 kW, while the Brazilian Inmetro range figures are expected to be lower than the European-cycle estimates.
The SUV measures 4.27 meters long and has a 405-liter boot, expandable to 510 liters with an underfloor compartment. Its feature list includes a 14.6-inch central screen, an 8.8-inch driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and seven airbags. The Design adds electric driver-seat adjustment and a 12-speaker audio system; the Life omits adaptive cruise control. The two-trim approach differs from the B10’s Brazil lineup, where Life and Design represent different powertrain and equipment propositions.
