Omoda plans to unveil the Omoda 4 at the Paris Motor Show on Oct. 12, giving Europe the first look at a compact SUV that is also planned for Brazil in 2027. The Chery Group model is expected to join Omoda & Jaecoo’s Brazilian lineup as the brands pursue a stated target of 150,000 sales there in 2027, supported by seven planned launches.

The Omoda 4 is described as a compact SUV for Brazil, but its reported dimensions are closer to those of some mid-size models: 4.42 metres long, 1.87 metres wide and 1.57 metres tall, with a 2.63-metre wheelbase and about 400 litres of boot space. It uses Chery’s T1X platform, also found under the Tiggo 5X and Tiggo 7. In Brazil, it is expected to sit below the Jaecoo 5 and Omoda 5, despite its relatively generous size.

For Europe, the SUV is set to use the fifth-generation Super Hybrid system: a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine rated at 143 hp and an electric motor producing 204 hp. Combined output is 224 hp, with 30.1 kgfm of torque; a 1.83-kWh battery and single-speed dedicated hybrid transmission complete the system. It is a full hybrid and does not need to be plugged in.

A hybrid version is also under consideration for Brazil, potentially alongside a less expensive, combustion-only 1.0-litre turbo flex variant. The Brazilian operation has not confirmed specifications or prices; the article says the expected positioning is below R$150,000. A future Brazilian-built version is also intended, but the production site has not been decided.
