Omoda & Jaecoo says the Omoda 5 Next SHS-H achieved a combined driving-range result of 1,015 kilometers and fuel economy of 22.22 km/L at its Super Hybrid Marathon in Wuhu, China. The event took place on October 21-22, 2026, and was organized to demonstrate the performance and efficiency of the company’s Super Hybrid System (SHS).

The roughly 600-kilometer evaluation also included the Omoda 4 SHS-H and Omoda 7 SHS-H. The route exposed the vehicles to stop-and-go urban traffic, sustained expressway cruising and winding mountain roads. Omoda says the Omoda 5 Next’s 1.5-liter dedicated turbo hybrid engine was tested in the city section, while the mountain stage challenged its power delivery and agility. Sport and Eco driving modes were available, along with Level 2 advanced driver-assistance systems.

The company presented the drive as part of its broader push into electrified vehicles, spanning hybrids, plug-in hybrids and battery-electric models. At its 2026 International User Summit, Omoda & Jaecoo reported more than 1.4 million cumulative sales worldwide, operations in 79 markets and a network of over 1,700 showrooms. It also said new-energy vehicles made up 81 percent of its sales. The article does not provide further test conditions or details on how the range figure was measured.
