Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines has introduced CarLinko and CarSynco, two connected-car platforms intended to support vehicle ownership and dealership aftersales service in the Philippine market. Both apps are available through the Apple App Store and Google Play.
CarLinko connects owners with selected vehicle functions and information via a smartphone. Depending on the model and equipment, features may include remote air-conditioning, window and seat-heating controls, as well as charging reservations. The app can also show vehicle status and provide reminders or alerts, including notifications for low battery or tire pressure. Supported Philippine models named by the company are the Omoda E5, Jaecoo J5 EV, Jaecoo EJ5 and Jaecoo J7 PHEV.
CarSynco is used by authorized Omoda & Jaecoo dealerships to check vehicle-status information in real time. Dealers can use those details to assess potential concerns and recommend maintenance or assistance. The platform does not give dealers access to a vehicle’s location. Before an owner can connect a car to CarLinko, a dealer must register it through CarSynco.
The company says data collection and processing follow applicable Philippine privacy requirements, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012. Relevant data-processing consent is covered by a form provided during vehicle sales; customers are encouraged to review consent documents, privacy notices and app instructions with their dealership.
