Perodua is running a Malaysia Day promotion on its Ativa small SUV, with cash discounts of up to RM9,500 depending on the variant, available until October 31. The entry X trim gets the biggest cut, while the mid-spec H and top AV receive RM5,500 and RM5,700 off respectively. That brings pricing down to RM53,000 for the X, RM61,800 for the H and RM66,900 for the AV, before optional premium metallic paint surcharges.
On sale since March 2021, the Ativa remains the only turbocharged model in Perodua's lineup. It was the brand's first model on the DNGA platform and uses a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo producing 98 PS and 140 Nm, paired with a D-CVT. The SUV has yet to receive a facelift.
A hybrid is on the way: Perodua confirmed in May that the Ativa Hybrid will be produced and sold locally, four years after a subscription-only trial that was essentially a rebadged Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid. Local assembly could open the door to Perodua's own design and suspension tweaks, potentially arriving alongside a facelift for the wider range.
