Malaysian police have located a 24-year-old driver suspected of involvement in a fatal crash on Jalan Kuching, Kuala Lumpur. The six-vehicle collision happened at about 3:44 p.m. on October 10, 2026, in slow-moving traffic. The suspect was found at a private hospital in Damansara, receiving treatment for a concussion under the supervision of an investigating officer.

Initial findings indicate that a BYD Seal struck a Perodua Bezza from behind. The Bezza, driven by the five-year-old victim’s father, was then reportedly pushed into a sequence of further collisions. A motorcycle was involved, and the Bezza spun into the right lane, hitting a Nissan Almera, Toyota Alphard and Perodua Myvi.

The child, who was seated in the Bezza’s rear seat, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at Kuala Lumpur Hospital. Her 30-year-old father injured his right hand, while the 33-year-old motorcyclist sustained a head injury; both were receiving treatment at the hospital. The other three vehicle drivers were uninjured. Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of Malaysia’s Road Transport Act 1987 and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
