Quatro Rodas drove the Xpeng G9 in Europe, testing the Chinese brand’s flagship electric SUV. The model is offered with 351 or 575 hp and battery packs of 78 or 93 kWh. The top AWD version tested pairs a 93.1-kWh LFP battery with an 800-volt system; its two motors deliver 575 hp and 70.9 kgfm of torque, enabling a claimed 0-to-100 km/h time of 4.2 seconds. Its WLTP range is 540 km, while the test recorded consumption of 18.7 kWh/100 km, below the official 20.1 figure.

Xpeng says the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 12 minutes when connected to sufficiently powerful equipment. During the test, the SUV initially drew 354 kW. Maximum DC charging capability is listed at up to 525 kW, while AC charging is capped at 11 kW. The review also highlights the air suspension and adaptive dampers managed by AI, which prioritize ride comfort; the tester found the steering and body control less engaging for keen drivers.

The cabin has three displays, generous room for five and a 660-liter trunk, expanding to 1,576 liters with the rear seats folded. The tested top trim costs €78,000 in Europe, while the article lists R$469,880 as an estimated Brazilian price. Xpeng is recruiting in Brazil and is expected to make its debut there in 2027, but has not yet announced its intended segments or formally launched in the country. The G9’s driver-assistance software for more advanced autonomous functions is not available outside China.
