Xpeng says cumulative deliveries of its GX flagship SUV have topped 30,000, around five months after the model launched in China. The company marked the milestone on October 22 at its Yizhuang delivery center in Beijing, where chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng handed over the 30,000th vehicle. Xpeng described the GX as its fastest model to exceed RMB 10 billion in revenue and said its premium models have an average price of RMB 300,000.

The six-seat, full-size SUV went on sale in China on May 20 in battery-electric and extended-range electric versions. Its official launch prices ranged from RMB 279,800 to RMB 359,800, with a limited-time starting offer of RMB 269,800. Xpeng says the GX has secured nearly 4,000 orders in the Middle East, up from more than 3,000 announced on October 17. Overseas shipments began in August, and the company plans to start regional deliveries in the Middle East and other global markets in its next phase; it has not provided dates or overseas prices.

The GX delivered 7,224 units in September, accounting for 17.51% of Xpeng’s monthly total. Cumulative deliveries stood at 28,725 at the end of September, after reaching 20,000 on August 31.

Xpeng delivered 284,367 vehicles in the first nine months of the year, down 9.20% year on year. Overseas sales rose 100.11% to 59,479, or 20.92% of deliveries, compared with 9.49% a year earlier.
