XPeng’s Mona sub-brand could expand the Chinese automaker’s offerings in Brazil, where XPeng is expected to arrive in the second half of 2027. Mona’s entry is only a possibility, not a confirmed part of the plan. The brand was developed to offer more affordable vehicles and is also linked to a project involving cars for ride-hailing services operated by Didi, the company behind Brazil’s 99 app.

The Mona M03 is a fully electric sedan measuring 4.78 metres long, with a 2.81-metre wheelbase. Its electric motor produces 218 hp, and buyers can choose between 51.8-kWh and 62.2-kWh batteries. The reported driving range is 515 to 620 km. The larger L05 SUV measures 4.87 metres in length and has a 2.94-metre wheelbase. It is offered as an EV or an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV): both versions use a 249-hp electric motor, while the EREV adds a 1.5-litre petrol engine rated at 92 hp to generate electricity.

The smaller L03 is 4.67 metres long and is also available as an EV or EREV. Its electric motor produces 249 hp, rising to 387 hp in an all-wheel-drive version with a second electric motor. The EREV uses a 1.5-litre generator rated at 95 hp. Reported range is up to 625 km for the EV and 315 km for the EREV. The article presents the three models as a potential starting lineup for Mona in Brazil.
