XPENG’s X9 electric MPV has received a five-star rating from Euro NCAP, according to an assessment released on October 12. The rating applies to all variants. The report gives the model scores of 95% for frontal-impact protection, 99% for side impacts and 98% for rear impacts, and cites a center airbag intended to reduce the chance of front occupants striking one another in a side crash. It also reports 91% scores for crash protection and post-crash safety.

Euro NCAP highlighted the X9’s structural design, including 46,000 Nm/degree of torsional rigidity, a body made with 83% high-strength steel and aluminum, and 2,000 MPa hot-stamped steel in key areas. The structure incorporates 19 closed circular rings to distribute impact forces. Driver-assistance results included 94% for adaptive cruise control in car-to-car scenarios and 87% for autonomous emergency braking in frontal collision avoidance. A child-presence detection system is standard across the range. Post-crash features include automatic high-voltage system shutdown, door unlocking and hazard-light activation.

In the Philippines, the X9 Long Range is priced at PHP 3,858,000, while the version with the Second Row Premium Seat Package costs PHP 4,058,000. The listed package includes five years of preventive maintenance and roadside assistance, a five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, an eight-year battery and electric-motor warranty, and a 7-kW wall charger.
