Zeekr 7X passes 200,000 units built as an 85 kWh 2027 version readies for Q4

Zeekr assembled its 200,000th 7X on September 8, reaching the figure roughly two years after the electric SUV entered series production. The tally counts cars off the line rather than cars delivered: by late July, worldwide deliveries stood near 180,000, over 136,000 of them in China. Home-market volume also picked up over the summer, climbing from 7,345 units in June to 10,253 in July after a soft spring.

The next change comes with the 2027 model year due in the fourth quarter of 2026. Zeekr is swapping the entry-level 75 kWh LFP pack for an in-house 85 kWh Aegis Golden Brick unit, built with short-blade cells at Geely's Quzhou plant. The company claims the battery can last up to 1,000,000 km and survive 3,500 charge cycles, with built-in thermal-runaway safeguards. Homologation numbers have yet to appear, but industry estimates point past 700 km on the CLTC cycle — about 585 km WLTP — territory currently occupied by the Li Auto i6 and its 87.3 kWh pack.

For reference, today's 7X manages 620 km CLTC with the 75 kWh battery and 802 km CLTC with the top 103 kWh CATL Qilin NMC unit. The SUV rides on Geely's SEA platform, offers up to 585 kW (785 hp) in dual-motor form, does 0-100 km/h in 2.98 seconds at the top end, and starts at 229,800 yuan in China. Recent revisions brought a 900V electrical system, standard roof LiDAR and Nvidia Drive Thor-U hardware, while the 2027 car gains an 18,999 yuan option bundle with power rear seats, a fridge and 20-inch multi-spoke wheels.

Beyond China, the 7X has reached more than 50 markets and led its pure-electric C-SUV segment in Mexico and Australia during the first half of 2026. At home it battles the Tesla Model Y, Onvo L60 and XPeng G6 in the 200,000-300,000 yuan bracket.
