1,113-hp Galaxy Zhanjian 700 Marks Geely's Off-Road Debut With 43,900 Pre-Orders in 60 Minutes

Geely's Galaxy brand has opened pre-sales for its first dedicated off-roader, the Zhanjian 700, and buyers have responded in force. Six variants are priced between 199,800 and 389,800 yuan (roughly 29,400–57,300 USD), topped by a 700-unit "Land Ark" special that sold out almost instantly. The order book reached 10,000 within nine minutes, and refundable reservations climbed past 43,900 by the end of the first hour.

The headline figure is output: Geely's Thor EM-T hybrid drivetrain pairs a choice of 1.5T or 2.0T engines with three electric motors for a combined 830 kW — 1,113 hp — and a claimed 13,920 N·m of wheel-end torque. The quickest version reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.95 seconds. A 47.14 kWh CATL LFP pack covers 305 km on CLTC electric range, total range exceeds 1,200 km, and 800V hardware enables fast charging.

Terrain-focused hardware includes 233 mm of ground clearance, 30- and 31-degree approach and departure angles, an 800 mm wading limit, and a rear mechanical diff lock that engages in 200 milliseconds. The AI all-terrain chassis offers 17 drive modes, among them a "Crab Walk" and a "Waltz Turn" that shrinks the turning circle to 3.36 meters, plus an emergency float mode rated for 40 minutes in water. Five screens, an 18.5-liter fridge, and 14-point massage seats fill the cabin.
