Nio plans to add a special edition of its ES8 electric SUV at the 2026 Guangzhou Auto Show, which runs from November 27 to December 6. A report citing people familiar with the matter said the edition may bring changes mainly to its exterior colors and design details. Nio has not announced its specifications or pricing.

The current third-generation ES8 is offered in five versions with five-, six- and seven-seat layouts. Prices including the battery range from 382,800 yuan to 446,800 yuan; under Nio’s battery-rental BaaS plan, they start at 274,800 yuan and reach 338,800 yuan. The model went on sale in September 2025, and Nio added a five-seat configuration in July 2026. A separate Lanyue package, introduced in September, includes 22-inch forged wheels and gold brake calipers.

Cumulative deliveries of the third-generation ES8 reached 160,000 on October 23, 33 days after passing 150,000. It delivered 10,546 units in September, its third consecutive month above 10,000, representing 49.47% of Nio’s main-brand deliveries that month. Nio said the ES8 led China’s large-SUV market in cumulative retail sales for the first 10 months of 2026, but did not provide its October model figure. Nio Inc.’s total October deliveries fell 15.23% year on year to 34,246, ending a 31-month growth streak.
