Avatr plans to reveal its T09 three-row SUV online on Oct. 11. The brand is also expected to attend the Paris Motor Show, which opens the next day, where the new model could make its first public appearance. Avatr first announced the SUV in early September, and Chinese regulators have since certified it. The T09 will be the seventh vehicle in the brand’s lineup, which includes SUVs, sedans and a wagon.
The full-size crossover measures 5,285 mm long, 2,025 mm wide and either 1,810 or 1,820 mm tall, depending on the version. Its wheelbase is 3,150 mm, and buyers will be offered 21- or 22-inch wheels. The cabin has not yet been shown, but Avatr says the model will have six seats. Listed exterior features include a glass roof, partly concealed door handles and a narrow rear light bar. Chinese certification documents also list a lidar-equipped driver-assistance system.
Both certified versions are all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrids, and both are reported to use a 71.24-kWh battery. The entry setup pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 150 hp with two electric motors, for a stated combined output of 666 hp. The more powerful version uses a 211-hp 2.0-liter turbo engine and three electric motors, with total output of 857 hp. Further details, including the interior, are expected around the unveiling.
