Bestune has introduced a five-door version of its Pony electric minicar in China, where the model is known as the Xiaoma in Vietnam. Prices range from 44,900 to 54,900 yuan, equivalent to about 174,000–213,000 dong. The existing three-door model starts at 34,900 yuan in China. In Vietnam, only the three-door Xiaoma is currently listed, at 199–205 million dong; the article reports no confirmation that the new version will be sold there.

The five-door car measures 3,350 mm long, 1,540 mm wide and 1,600 mm tall, with a 2,215 mm wheelbase. Compared with the three-door version, it is 350 mm longer and has 262 mm more wheelbase. It retains the squared-off styling and seats four. A 10.1-inch touchscreen is optional, while the instrument display measures seven inches. Luggage capacity is 265 litres with the rear seats in place and up to 1,052 litres when they are folded.

Power comes from a rear-mounted 30 kW electric motor. Buyers can choose 17 kWh or 27.2 kWh LFP batteries. Bestune quotes CLTC ranges of 222–328 km and WLTP ranges of 182–269 km, depending on battery, along with a top speed of 103 km/h.

China EV DataTracker figures cited in the report show 47,929 deliveries of the three-door Pony in China during the first nine months of 2026, down 37.5% year on year. The five-door model’s entry price is 10,000 yuan above that of the three-door car.
