Geely has opened preorders in Colombia for the Starray EM-R Max+, a plug-in range-extended version of its Starray SUV. The offer runs from October 28 to November 11, 2026, and the model is due to be shown at the Bogotá Motor Show. It is being offered in one version, with limited units and six exterior colors. The SUV retains the Starray EM-i’s body, while adopting a different powertrain and additional equipment.
An electric motor drives the front wheels and produces 215 hp and 262 Nm. A naturally aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine, rated at 98 hp, acts only as a generator. The LFP battery holds 29.8 kWh, compared with 18.4 kWh in the conventional Starray EM-i, and provides a claimed 170 km of electric range under NEDC, up from 105 km. Geely quotes a combined range of up to 1,065 km with the 51-liter fuel tank, a 0–100 km/h time of 8.2 seconds and a top speed of 170 km/h.
Charging is supported at up to 60 kW DC and 6.6 kW AC; the SUV also has V2L and V2V functions. Equipment includes a 15.4-inch central display, a 10.2-inch digital instrument panel, a 360-degree camera system and driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking. The preorder price is COP 109,990,000. Geely lists warranties of six years or 150,000 km for the vehicle and eight years or 150,000 km for the battery, whichever comes first.
