BYD has displayed the Atto 2 in Indonesia, where the company says it is considering the model for the compact SUV segment. Bobby Bharata, head of product at PT BYD Motor Indonesia, said the company is researching the market, while BYD is working to bring the vehicle to sale in the country.

Two Atto 2-related codes appeared in Jakarta’s 2025 motor vehicle value records: SC3E-ETD-1 (4x2) AT at Rp 281 million and SC3E-STD-1 (4x2) AT at Rp 245 million. These figures are listed vehicle values, not confirmed prices for buyers. The corresponding codes were no longer listed in the 2026 Home Affairs Ministry regulation cited by the report.

If launched, the Atto 2 would enter Indonesia’s compact electric SUV field, where the Jaecoo J5 and Geely EX2 are named as potential rivals. In China, the model is sold as the Yuan UP. The 2027 Yuan UP Feichi Edition has five variants, priced from 74,800 to 104,800 yuan, or approximately Rp 190 million to Rp 270 million.

The latest Atto 2 uses a front-mounted electric motor rated at 70 kW and 180 Nm. BYD offers three Blade Battery capacities: 32 kWh, 45.12 kWh and 51.13 kWh. The report does not provide an Indonesian launch date or final local specifications.
