BYD plans to launch the Da Han EV in China on October 13, 2026. The automaker began taking preorders in August, with listed prices ranging from 249,900 to 299,900 yuan. Customer deliveries are expected to begin within two weeks of the launch, while BYD has not said whether it will sell the sedan outside China. Final prices and delivery details are due at the official unveiling.
The Da Han measures about 5.26 metres long and has a 3.13-metre wheelbase. All versions use a 102.3-kWh second-generation Blade battery with lithium iron phosphate chemistry. Two rear-wheel-drive variants produce 496 hp and 500 Nm, with a maximum CLTC-rated range of 1,008 km. For one of these versions, BYD quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 4.9 seconds and energy use of 11.5 kWh per 100 km. The all-wheel-drive model makes 764 hp and 910 Nm, reaches 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a claimed 880 km range.
With a compatible high-power charger, the battery can go from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. Equipment includes rear-wheel steering, dual-chamber air suspension and BYD’s Level 2+ driver-assistance system, which uses roof-mounted lidar. The cabin features a 17.3-inch central display, a 31-speaker Devialet audio system and Nappa leather seats. BYD positions the Da Han above the existing Han EV in its Dynasty sedan lineup.
