BYD is set to officially launch the Da Han in China on October 13, after opening reservations in August. Prices run from 249,900 to 299,900 yuan (about R$186,300 to R$223,600), depending on configuration, and the first customer deliveries are expected within two weeks of the launch. The sedan is positioned above the current Han in BYD’s Dynasty range.
All versions use a 102.3-kWh second-generation Blade battery. Rear-wheel-drive models are rated for up to 1,008 km on China’s CLTC test cycle, with stated energy use of 11.5 kWh per 100 km; the article estimates that range at about 820 km under WLTP. A dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Flagship delivers around 775 hp and 92.8 kgfm of torque, reaches 100 km/h from rest in 3.3 seconds and is rated for 880 km CLTC range. BYD also says compatible high-power chargers can replenish the battery from 10% to 97% in nine minutes.
The Da Han measures 5.26 metres long, with a 3.13-metre wheelbase. Rear-wheel-steering is standard across the range, as is the DiSus-A two-chamber air suspension. Driver-assistance features include the LiDAR-equipped DiPilot system, called God’s Eye 5.0 in China; its functions include urban navigation assistance and automated parking, but it remains a Level 2+ system.
Inside, the sedan has a 17.3-inch 3K central display and a 31-speaker Devialet audio system. BYD’s launch comes as sales of the existing Han line have weakened: the source reports about 3,000 monthly deliveries in 2026 and 2,997 in August, down 61.4% from a year earlier.
