In Brazil, the BYD Dolphin was projected to reach about 5,208 registrations in October 2026, based on its pace through October 30. Fenabrave data showed 4,960 registrations after 20 of the month’s 21 business days. The projection would put the electric car 55% above its average of 3,358 units per month over the previous 12 months.
That estimated total would still fall short of the Dolphin’s monthly record of 6,740, set in August. In the October tally, the model ranked 13th among passenger cars, ahead of its average position of 23rd over the past year. Its best monthly ranking in 2026 was eighth, reached in July and August. The final volume and ranking could change with the last business day still to come.
The Dolphin’s monthly registrations rose from 1,511 in January and 1,193 in February to 1,852 in March, 3,022 in April and 4,963 in May. It then recorded 5,512 in June and 6,492 in July, before setting its August record. September ended at 4,132 units, placing it 17th; in October 2025, it had registered 1,731 and ranked 32nd.
In the October 30 standings, the Dolphin Mini was second with 7,976 registrations, while the Yaris Cross and Haval H6 ranked eighth and 11th, respectively. The Chevrolet Onix Plus was just ahead of the Dolphin in 12th place with 5,059 units. The Dolphin led the Fiat Fastback, in 14th, by 241 registrations.
