BYD has given its Yuan Up compact electric SUV a refresh for the 2027 model year, rolling out a five-variant lineup in China under the Feichi Edition banner. List prices span 74,800 to 104,800 yuan, with the entry point equal to about $11,070. Buyers trading in an old car can shave 5,000 yuan off for a limited time, bringing the effective window down to 69,800–99,800 yuan.
Range is the headline change. Two new 501-km CLTC variants join the carryover 301-km and 401-km options, lifting the model's ceiling by roughly a quarter. The base car keeps its old sticker price, but the cheapest 401-km version now asks 81,800 yuan — 18,000 yuan less than before. The three range tiers map to 32 kWh, 45.12 kWh and 51.13 kWh battery packs, and all five cars share a 70 kW (94 hp), 180 Nm motor, down from the 130-kW unit on certain outgoing Smart Driving Edition trims.
Equipment splits unevenly across the lineup. The 89,800-yuan, 401-km Huoli trim gets the God's Eye C driver-assistance suite, enabling highway navigation assist, adaptive cruise, automated valet parking and remote parking, while the 301-km and 401-km Linghang and the 501-km Chaoyue go without it — so top range and the full ADAS package don't come together. Visual tweaks include yellow and blue paint, a two-spoke leather steering wheel and 17-inch wheels on upper grades, with body dimensions unchanged.
Launched domestically in March 2024, the Yuan Up is sold abroad as the Atto 2 and anchors a Yuan family that also takes in the Yuan Plus, exported as the Atto 3. That family set an August record of 84,550 deliveries, up more than 128 percent year on year, making it BYD's best-selling model family for the month.
