Soueast has expanded its S06 range in Chile with a plug-in hybrid version for the 2027 model year. The Lux starts at CLP 19,990,000, while the better-equipped Limited is priced at CLP 22,490,000. Both are advertised with up to 114 km of electric-only driving and 1,140 km of combined range under the NEDC test cycle. The article cites Chilean industry association ANAC figures showing 5,665 plug-in hybrids sold from January through September 2026, while noting that high prices remain a barrier to wider adoption.

The powertrain pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged direct-injection engine rated at 154 hp and 220 Nm with an electric motor and a 19.43-kWh battery. The source lists 201 hp and 310 Nm for the electric setup, and total system output of 355 hp and 530 Nm. A single-speed dedicated automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels. The S06 measures 4,616 mm long, 1,910 mm wide and 1,690 mm tall, with a 2,720-mm wheelbase and a 60-liter fuel tank.

Both trims include a 12.8-inch multimedia display, a 9.2-inch digital instrument panel, dual-zone climate control and a 360-degree reversing camera. The Limited upgrades to a 15.6-inch screen, a panoramic sunroof, powered and heated or ventilated front seats, a nine-speaker Sony audio system and wireless phone charging. It also adds six airbags and a package of 12 driver-assistance features; the Lux has four airbags. The two versions use 18- or 20-inch wheels, respectively.
