Jaecoo is preparing to bring another vehicle to Iraq, where a teaser video from the brand’s local social-media accounts has prompted speculation that it could be the J8. Jaecoo is part of China’s Chery group. The clip shows illuminated sections of the front and rear lights, whose styling appears to match the larger SUV, but no model name has been confirmed.
The post appeared in Arabic and Kurdish and said the vehicle would arrive in Iraq soon. It did not give a reveal date or a start-of-sales date. The report says earlier information had pointed to J8 sales beginning in November, making that model a possibility rather than a confirmed identification.
The J8 is offered in some global markets with gasoline engines and as a plug-in hybrid. Jaecoo and Omoda have not said which powertrain, equipment or price would apply in Iraq. The brands’ announced Iraqi line-up includes Jaecoo J5, J7 and J8, as well as Omoda C5 and C7, so the teaser could also concern a different anticipated model or a new trim.
