BYD has released official images of the cabin of its third-generation Tang EV in China. Lu Tian, head of sales for the automaker’s Dynasty series, presented two interior finishes: Dune Beige and Amber Brown. The cabin combines diamond-pattern stitching on leather upholstery with a panoramic glass roof, a “Star Ring” display and ambient lighting integrated across the dashboard and doors.

Known domestically as the 8 Series Tang, the SUV sits alongside the Tang L and the larger 9 Series Da Tang in BYD’s lineup. Related vehicles have been marketed overseas under names including Atto 8 and Sealion 8. The new Tang measures 5,045 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,760 mm tall, with a 2,950 mm wheelbase. Buyers can choose 20- or 21-inch wheels; exterior details include a full-width front light bar, floating roof and semi-concealed door handles.

Power comes from a 300 kW (402 hp) electric motor. BYD lists second-generation Blade Battery packs of 88.682 kWh and 105.792 kWh, with CLTC range ratings of 730, 830 or 850 km, depending on configuration. The SUV supports BYD flash charging and features dual-chamber air suspension, road-surface preview within the DiSus-A body-control system, and the “God’s Eye B” driver-assistance system.
