BYD has released interior images of the 2027 Qin Plus in China. The updated plug-in hybrid was first disclosed through regulatory filings in July and is expected to go on sale in late October. Pricing for the new version has not been announced; the current Qin Plus is priced from 79,800 to 99,800 yuan (about US$11,775 to US$14,725). The report expects the updated car to cost more, citing its larger dimensions and a LiDAR sensor.
Inside, the cabin features a large floating infotainment display, a digital instrument panel and a new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel. BYD has also revised the air vents and added ambient lighting. The company describes the cabin materials as soft-touch, and says the car gains additional storage, a larger panoramic sunroof and seats redesigned with long journeys in mind.
The Qin Plus measures 4,840 mm long, 1,900 mm wide and 1,498 mm high, with a 2,800 mm wheelbase. Exterior changes include a low, broad profile, new 17-inch wheels, and rear lights using BYD’s Chinese Knot motif. Island Blue is a new paint choice.
BYD says the plug-in hybrid uses 2.58 litres of fuel per 100 km in charge-depleted operation. Its claimed electric-only range is 220 km, or about 178 km on the WLTP cycle, while the combined range with a full tank and charged battery exceeds 2,290 km (about 1,855 km WLTP).
